I recently picked up some quartz on a beach and want to put one of the pieces into my aquarium, I have a Betta (Narcissus), 2 minnows (thisty and fluffly) a goldfish (veca) and a catfish (blixa).

boiled water and left the quartz in it for a while to get rid of the salt and other stuff sine I did get them off a beach, any other suggestions as to how to put them or one of them into the tank without harming the ph or doing something damaging to my fish? They're small pieces by the way.
